Where is the hotel located in relation to the French Quarter?
Hotel de la Monnaie (HdlM) sits on the edge of the French Quarter on Esplanade Avenue, less than a block from the French Market on one side and the Frenchmen Street music corridor on another.
Is there parking available?
Complimentary limited parking is offered in our garage on a space available, first-come basis. Convenient paid parking lots are also located nearby, as well as parking meters on surrounding streets.
Does Hotel de la Monnaie provide amenities for guests?
Suites feature a selection of toiletries from Gilchrist and Soames of London, England, which are replenished as needed.
Is smoking permitted?
HdlM is a non-smoking property in accordance with a New Orleans Ordinance prohibiting smoking in all room and atriums. The only sanctioned area is on the 2nd-floor terrace overlooking Esplanade Avenue. Failure to comply with the no smoking policy will result in a fine.
Are pets permitted?
Pets are not allowed at HdlM. Service dogs are accepted in accordance with ADA regulations. Service dogs must always leave the hotel with owners and may not be left in the room unattended or disrupt other guests.
When are Check in/check out times?
Check in time is 3:00 pm and check out time is 10:30 am.
What is the room capacity?
One-bedroom suites have a maximum occupancy of 4 people and two-bedroom suites have a maximum of 6 people. Both have one bathroom. Most include a queen size sofa bed. A rollaway bed is available upon request.
Is there Taxi service and local transportation?
Taxis, Uber and Lyft offer convenient transportation, and the riverfront streetcar is located less than one block from our front door, providing easy access along the edge of the French Quarter from Esplanade to the Convention Center. Our front desk staff will assist with taxi or shuttle reservations upon request.
Is there an airport shuttle available?
Shuttle service is available from the airport to hotels and various locations in the city. Ticket booths are located throughout the Baggage Claim area at the airport. Visit airportshuttleneworleans.com to pre-book reservations.
Are restaurants available?
There is no restaurant in the hotel; however, each suite is equipped with a coffee maker, microwave oven, stove top, and refrigerator for guests’ convenience. Our location provides easy access to a variety of New Orleans restaurants within a short taxi ride or walking distance.
Is there housekeeping service?
Yes, complimentary daily housekeeping is provided.
Why can’t I make reservations online?
HdlM is a timeshare property and not set up for online reservations because of fluctuating owner use. Reservations may be made by calling Susan Brown, Reservation Manager, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm daily, at (504) 947-0009. You may also request a reservation using this online form.
Are there any laundry facilities?
Yes, coin-operated washer and dryer are available for our guests. Our front desk staff can also assist with laundry service arrangements upon request.

In general, you can visit our website without telling us who you are or providing any personal information. You may choose to provide your name, mailing address, email address and/or telephone number so we can correspond with you, process a reservation request, reply to your questions or comments, or provide you with online concierge services. If you tell us you do not want us to use this information to make further contact with you beyond fulfilling your requests, we shall respect your wishes. If you give us personal information about someone else, such as a spouse, friend, or work colleague, we shall assume that you have their permission to do so.
